It has been a long time since I have been a blogger. But this certainly feels like the right time to pick it back up again.
Let’s get through the necessary expository nature of the first post….then we can get down to business.
This blog is named after my favorite quote from my favorite book:

This describes my outlook on life about as closely as any quote could. I have always felt partly in the moment, partly outside of it….and almost always anxious about it.
There are many outlets I have chosen so far in my life as mechanisms to process both my creativity and my anxiety: writing, singing, painting…. but the biggest one is beauty.
That is my aim for this particular endeavor, to talk about one of my passions, and to reap the therapeutic benefits of doing so. It’s always important to be cognizant of your brand… and my brand is anxious beauty.
And both aspects of that brand provide an inexhaustible variety of things to share. So I look forward to sharing with you.
